Verity will be working with Classic FM and The Prince Consort for another in a series of films that have been created for the stations social media.
This time Verity will be performing a piece of music written for her by composer Graham Ross; The Land of Blue. Verity performed the world premiere of this song earlier in the year at Wigmore Hall. This will be the first recording of the work.
Verity will perform a recital for the Mendelssohn Foundation of Schumann, Mendelssohn, Schubert and Strauss Lieder. She was invited to perform this recital as an alumna of the Peter Schreier Schumann and Mendelssohn Lieder course in Leipzig, Germany. For which the Mendelssohn Foundation generously supported Verity.
The Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards is a competition for singers and accompanists aged 22-30. The finalists have been selected from preliminary rounds in October. In the final they have been asked to perform a piece by Handel, a piece by Peter Wishart and two pieces of their own choice.

The London Song Festival is hosting two masterclasses and competitions this year. This masterclass will be taken by lyric mezzo-soprano Sally Burgess focusing on the Lieder of Schubert and one other composer of each students choice. There will be ten singers, chosen from over a hundred. The afternoon session will take place at 15.00 - 18.00 and the evening session will begin at 19.00. There will be an award presented to the best singer at 22.00.
Verity is due to perform at 21.30 and she will be present two songs to Sally Burgess:

Die Liebende Schreibt by Mendelssohn
She will be accompanied by Bulgarian pianist Marina Staneva.
Verity will be performing the famous 'Song to the Moon' by Dvorak with the London Firebird Orchestra and conductor George Jackson.

Verity Wingate and Michael Pugh perform a recital of songs by pianists for the friends of the Leeds International Piano Competition. This short lunchtime recital will feature songs by composers such as Rachmaninov, Liszt and Schumann.

Verity will be performing the Mozart Great Mass in C Minor with Nigel Perrin and the Bath Bach Choir for their 70th Anniversary Celebration Concert with tenor Kieran White and soprano Anna Sideris. The choir will also be performing the Bach Magnificat in D. It is going to be a fantastic night!

This will be the final recital to end my second year of Masters at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
